KEEN San Francisco

KEEN San Francisco is a nonprofit volunteer-led organization that provides one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and young adults with developmental disabilities at no cost to their families and caregivers. KEEN's mission is to foster the self-esteem, confidence, skills and talents of its athletes through non-competitive activities, allowing young people facing even the most significant challenges to meet their individual goals.

All of KEEN's programs are based on a single principle: pair a trained volunteer with an athlete and let them discover together how much they can do. Programs are all open and unstructured, allowing athletes facing significant challenges to have fun and be successful. KEEN San Francisco is currently operating five year-round programs: Sports I, Sports II, Basketball, KEENquatics & Tennis at locations around greater San Francisco and in the East Bay.
