Foundation's Story: Since 2003, the Shandon Anderson Foundation has been committed to making this vision a reality. By providing mentorship, education and cultural awareness programs directly to teens and by partnering with like-minded community organizations, the foundation works to build self-esteem, shape young minds, expose teens to new opportunities and prepare them for whatever challenges lie ahead. Current Programs include A Man-Finds-His-Way, Femininity 101, and Atlanta first Teen-Only Center.
Note: The Shandon Anderson Foundation is a 501 c3 non - profit organization.
Shandon's Story: Why does Shandon Anderson believe in mentoring, exposure and education programs for youth? Because he's proof that such programs work.
Shandon credits his own mentor, Jaquelyn Mack, a teacher at Atlanta's A.A. Crim High School, for helping instill the discipline and confidence he needed to become a successful athlete and a community leader. Today,
Shandon lives what his foundation's programs teach, serving as a positive role model and giving back to youth in his hometown.
