Hate Crimes in the Heartland is a feature documentary and civic engagement project by Emmy Award winner Rachel Lyon. Joined by co-producer Pi-Isis S. Ankhra, the production team came together in dedication toward revealing an untold story about how hate crimes impact people in the heartland of America. Northern Kentucky University faculty, graduates and students facilitated nearly every role of the production team with a commitment to carry this film from ideation to execution.
