July 27, 2012. I’ve been waiting for this day for years, four to be exact. Admittedly, I’m not much of a professional sports fan, but there is something quite magical about watching the world come together for two weeks. I can’t wait for the Opening Ceremony, the medal ceremonies, and spinning around my living room with a ribbon pretending I’m doing rhythmic gymnastics. Also, I’m dying to wear my Roots beret without (much) public ridicule.

at Fort Mason, essentially combining a beer festival and a good excuse to get into a country-themed costume.
